Looking at the results of your at-home pregnancy test and it reads positive. You instantly feel so many emotions. Maybe this is your 4-month TTC you’re thrilled. Or maybe you’re scared shit-less because you were not expecting it to be positive. Regardless, there are a couple things you should do the moment you find out you are pregnant.
Journal
That night, begin to journal, you don’t have to commit to daily journaling. But try and write in it often. Discuss your thoughts, feeling, moods etc.
Mommy Daddy Photo
That night, prefer hours within finding out you all are expecting capture a photo of the two of you. It doesn’t have to be “staged” or a perfect photo. However, it will be nice looking back at it in and seeing the moment you all found out you were pregnant.
1st belly shot
Of course, right now you aren’t showing, and you won’t be for a while. Take a pre-belly picture for your memories, and it can be the start of monthly belly shots.
Scrapbook
Grab a large binder and begin a scrapbook. You can add in the photos you take, some of your journal entries, appointment cards, ultrasounds and any other items that hold sentimental value.
Adjust your diet
(This is probably a no-brainer)
- Add more veggies to your diet.
- Drink more water.
- If you were consuming alcohol, stop.
- Begin your search for prenatal vitamins.
